The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 3.5 million people die each year from inadequate access to safe drinking water and poor hygiene – one and a half million of these deaths are children.

These alarming facts are what inspired the creation of Water School.

Our mission is to provide a simple, practical and affordable method of improving the quality of water and sanitation practices in the developing world.

Water School empowers communities through its 3-Step program, which integrates sanitation and hygiene education with a simple and sustainable water treatment technology called Solar Disinfection (SODIS). Our approach gives people we train access to clean water, not for a few weeks or months, but for life.
