For many people living in poverty, treating water through methods like boiling, chlorination or filtration is either expensive or complex and therefore unrealistic. Water School provides a program that is a simple, practical and affordable method of improving the quality of water and sanitation practices in the developing world. What sets Water School apart from other organizations implementing the same technique is the commitment to integrating education on the importance of proper hygiene and sanitation practices with SODIS training. From our experience, it is futile to impart SODIS knowledge without adequate health and sanitation training.
